Newbie Tech is founded by a team of professionals with a strong track record in licensed counselling, mental health advocacy, civil litigation, NGO and community work, business leadership, and media / digital / IT services.
Together, we have over six decades of combined experience in the legal, telco, media, and digital industries, as well as working in NGOs and with government ministries.
The three members of our founding team came together after realizing we shared a common mission – to help individuals and organizations address and overcome their challenges at the workplace, at home, and in their personal lives. We started Newbie Tech to combine our business and technological acumen with our desire to help others. We believe that technology can be harnessed for good, and through leveraging, on digital platforms, we can scale and impact the lives of many, making education, personal development, and wellbeing more accessible to all.
Dr. Sangeeta Kaur
Licensed counsellor, certified RPEL assessor, psychometric assessment, sought after speaker locally and internationally and also registered trainer for organisations. Passionate advocate for mental health, emotional wellbeing, and literacy. Serves in various leadership and volunteer roles for a range of NGOs.
Albert Koo
A lawyer by profession with more than 25 years in civil litigation and have practiced/shared knowledge relating to counselling and mediatory skills with many family dispute clients. He believed in social and community empowerment and have been instrumental with various non governmental organisations to help improve the lives of the people / communities in terms of security, charities and social well-being.
Shai Sidhu
Business leader with over 17 years’ experience in managing commercial and technical business in APAC. Proficient in digital transformation and emerging technologies. Vast experience in the telco, media, and digital service provider industries.
